Performing over 800 surgical procedures each year, our board-certified general surgeons Karl Stiegler, M.D. and DuBose Medlock, Jr., M.D. care for patients with medical issues of the abdomen, esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder and bile ducts. They also provide surgical care for patients with breast cancer and colon cancer, soft tissue diseases as well as dialysis and vascular access needs.
Board certification requires extensive training and rigorous review of a doctor's knowledge, experience and skill in a medical specialty.
Dr. Stiegler is the Medical Director of the Colleton Wound Center. The center provides cutting-edge treatment to help chronic wounds heal faster. Conditions that can be treated at the Colleton Wound Center.
For patients who suffer from varicose veins, Dr. Medlock performs endovenous radiofrequency ablation, a minimally invasive procedure done at the Colleton Vein Center, and covered by most insurance carriers, including Medicare.
Vein problems may cause pain, swelling and restless or aching legs, in addition to cosmetic issues.
